Roxanne considers herself both a holistic practitioner and a fabric artist with a God given gift to teach others. She helps individuals navigate & bridge the gap between western and holistic medicine while encouraging body autonomy. Roxanne is eager to help uplift, motivate and teach the next generation of practitioners as well as educate individuals, and families on ways to live cleaner, less wasteful and more joy filled lives.
How did she become a practitioner?
Roxanne began her career in holistic care after becoming a licensed massage therapist. It was there she was introduced to BodyTalk and fell in love with the possibilities of truly helping people (& pets!) feel better through using a combination of some non-invasive steps and techniques. In 2004, she became a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner with the International BodyTalk Association and started assisting people to navigate their healing journey. It didn't take long for her to realize BodyTalk combines wonderfully with her first passion: fertility & Women's health.
That next year, Roxanne completed an arduous apprenticeship to become a direct entry midwife. Wanting to reach more clients and truly care for women throughout the lifespan, she learned western medicine and became a nurse which enabled her to reach her goal of being a nurse-midwife. In 2012, Roxanne acquired her master's degree in nursing with a midwifery specialty from Frontier Nursing University which allowed her to practice midwifery not only in homes and birth centers but also hospitals. Since becoming a specialized Nurse Practitioner, she has focused on growing & bridging the Phoenix, Arizona midwifery community, teaching the next generation of midwives & providing collaborative OB care.
Over her almost 20-year career, she has helped families welcome numerous babies earthside, helped people destress, heal and reconnect with their innate healing wisdom, and has 'grown' multiple student midwives, doulas & birth workers. Roxanne prides herself in treating others with respect, dignity, and kindness, and helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.
All work and no play??
In between seeing clients & teaching, Roxanne enjoys sewing/ quilting, salsa dancing, jigsaw puzzling, gardening and traveling/cruising. Additionally, she dreams & has a goal of building a homestead to enable all her loves to live on one property.
